Cypress Swamp
A cypress swamp in De Soto National Forest, Mississippi. The water here was only inches deep, providing a nice habitat for alligators, turtles, amphibians, and snakes. But, unless you sit still for long enough to be forgotten, the swamp appears motionless and quiet.
