Foxy Whitetail
Whitetail buck in Meeteetse, WY. Not only did this little buck have antlers too big for his britches, but he had a very active tail! This is the most widely-distributed ungulate (hoofed animal) in the Americas, with a range from central Canada to northern South America and even Peru. Of all the antler branching patterns of ungulates in this country, I’d argue that the most beautiful belongs to the whitetail deer.
