Bighorn Ram

Bighorn Ram

Bighorn Sheep ram after sunset in Shoshone National Forest. The Shoshone people, particularly the "Sheep Eaters" or Tukudeka, made the most formidable bow in the region out of the horns of these rams. It was a short bow, which made it useful on horseback and for hunting in dense woodlands. This made the bow a prized possession by these Native Americans, and to those who traded for one.
