Hot Spring Rim
The rim of a hot spring in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The springs here are famous for their vibrant colors caused by mineral mats of algae, which have colors corresponding to the temperature of the water in which they thrive. The blue color of this water is because it is so hot that it is completely sterile.
