Snowy Bison
Bison in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. Bison are incredible animals, any way you look at them. In the winter, they use their massive heads to sweep the snow aside and expose the vegetation they're looking to eat, which is just what this bison has been doing. Their coats are so warm and insulating that snow will just sit on their backs all day without melting. I took this photo sitting down in knee-deep snow, and I remember wishing I was as warm as this bull is.
